DOGS AND RAIN 

The reason that  dogs hesitate before going out into the rain is not because they're afraid of getting wet, It's because rain amplifies sound and their ears are so sensitive it can be too intense for them.....


It's a myth that dogs can only see in black and white, In fact it's believed that dogs see primarily in blue, greenish yellow, yellow and various shades of gray.......


Dogs noses secrete a thin layer of mucus that help them absorb scent. They then lick their nose to sample the scent through their mouth......

   

Dogs eyes contain a special membrane called the tapetum lucidum which allows them to see in the dark........


Dogs only sweat through the pads of their feet .. If overheated you can cool them down by rubbing the pads with alcohol on a cotton ball......


Dogs ears are extremely expressive it's no wonder . There are more than a dozen separate muscles that control dogs ear movement.......


Dogs kick after going to the bathroom to use the scent glands on their paws to further mark their territory.....

Dogs have three eyelids upper,lower and a third lid called nictitating membrane or 'haw' which helps keep the eye moist and protected.....



A large breed dog's resting heart beats between 60 to 100 times per minute same as a human at rest.....
